ทุกสิ้นปีทางหอสมุดฯ จะมีการจัดเลี้ยงงานส่งท้ายปีเก่าต้อนรับปีใหม่ โดยนิมนต์พระเพื่อเสริมความเป็นสิริมงคลแก่หน่วยงาน แต่ 2-3 ปีนี้ ระบาดหนักไปด้วยโรคระบาดโควิด-19 งานทำบุญเลี้ยงพระจึงต้องงดจัด และช่วงเดือนธันวาคม ได้มีการพูดถึงเรื่องการจับฉลาก และน้องจาได้เล่าว่า ที่บ้านน้องเล่นแบบนี้ คือ ของขวัญจะต้องเป็นของที่ขึ้นด้วยอักษรแรกของชื่อ จึงเป็นไอเดียในการเล่นของชาวหอสมุดฯ ก่อนส่งท้ายปีวัวค่ะ
